Zhou Brothers: Holz-und Farbholzschnitte

Published by the Galerie Wolfhard Viertel with an introductory essay by Elisabeth Krimmel

Building on the tradition of carving woodblocks and stone tiles in China, the Zhou Brothers worked on a body of black and white and color woodblock prints for four years. From 1990 - 1994 a series of prints was created that transposes the gestural and figurative elements of the Zhou Brothers vocabulary onto Mulberry and Bamboo paper.
